Pileated encounter

The magic tree along Island Inn Road did not disappoint - a couple of Pileated Woodpeckers were quite vocal and almost physical.

This encounter was rather short timewise but nevertheless quite entertaining - I watched them fly off and then noticed that one of them might have been much younger from the look of his feathers.
