A quiet morning along the waterways

It's Sunday morning, the air is still and heavy with humidity, I go for a quick stroll along the shores to see who else is awaking.

Along the East End of Sanibel beaches - the Snowy Plovers are happily feeding.

Along the Causeway several Magnificent Frigatebirds were seen catching the air currents.

The Ospreys were busy gathering fresh material for their nest.

Remnants from the previous day - they made me take a moment for reflection.

Native beach/dune sunflowers are plentiful along the Causeway Island - to me they reflect happiness and joy.

A Great Blue Heron - a regular visitor along the Causeway - note his bright plumage.

I'm ready to start my day now, thanks for being here.

  1. I smiled when I saw the Frigatebirds because I know how much you like watching them.
