The sun is out, the air is warm and I can feel the spring coming our way - soon it will be Plover patrol and Turtle patrol - I'm excited.
An interesting find today - a spiny box fish....or perhaps I should say its remains....but, oh!! how interesting to see how many bones there are. |
One of the Snowy Plover pair were seen along the rack line. |
Look how well they blend in with their surroundings. |
"Have you seen my partner?" |
Look at all the shells that remains from the cold front we had last week - the smell was a tell tale. |
A Lesser Black-backed Gull |
A nice group of Short-billed Dowitcher are surrounding a lone Willet. |
A pair of White Ibis - with attitude! |
An adult Brown Pelican in the Australian Pine tree - it always amaze me how they can sit on those wispy branches - a reminder that even though they look big they don't weigh much (8#). |
Our banded lady is ready for nesting season....she's quite a trouper. |
A Ruddy Turnstone. |
A Black-bellied Plover - soon to start getting a black belly....a sure sign that summer is around the corner. |
