What a great day! This past spring happened to be the very first time I set my eyes and bins on a Swallow Tailed Kite - wow! This bird is just so graceful and beautiful.
My group was lead by the president of the san-cap Audubon society. He took us to the location where the Swallow Tailed Kite have set up nest - which happened to be right down the street from me - how exciting! From that day on I've kept my eyes to the sky every time that I happened to be outdoors - which is often - and marveled at their ability to shift direction with their tail. Soon they will leave and I will look forward to their return.
